I enrolled the help of Kate while doing a whole house refurbishment. Following rewiring and re plastering, I soon found myself in need of help with colour choices for every room. I instantly felt at ease with Kate and realised what a great decision I had made in employing her services! Going from being bamboozled by the huge selection of colours I felt safe in her suggestions and actually felt that I was going to be able to change a 1960’s non-descript farmhouse to something spectacular for all the family.

She took all my ideas on board while suggesting things that I would never have thought of. I was so happy with her decoration designs that I decided to continue with using her services for the extended décor. This meant that rather than being overwhelmed with endless internet searching for light fittings and furniture I could look forward to schedules with different narrowed down ideas and make more suitable choices.

One of the joys of using Kate is that she comes up with ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of myself and gave me the chance to broaden my choices to suit the house and to have more of a flow of design throughout rather than individual rooms being separate to the whole.

Her remit also included helping my 2 older teenage daughters realise their dreams for more grown up bedrooms and my 13 year old son maximise the space in his small room which will now last him into adulthood.

Kate is so much more than just a designer, she is so supportive throughout and generous with her time. I can’t thank her enough for lending a sympathetic ear and also for her creative skills in upcycling some of my furniture. She came up with fantastic colour ideas for giving tired wooden furniture a new lease of life and through her,  I was pleased to be able to use some amazingly talented local businesses for re-upholstery and furniture refurbishment and bespoke shelving.

​ I would have no hesitation in recommending Kate to help with all aspects of house refurbishment and think everyone doing any changes to their house would benefit from her ideas – she will take a project that may seem mundane and make it wonderful!

My living room used to be a room that was so very bland - and I really didn't like being in it at all. I hadn't got a clue where to start with decorating it. Then along came Kate and she helped to transform it into a room that I love and love being in - it has changed my life dramatically.

We asked for Kate's advice because we hated our living room. The decor made it look cold and cluttered and we rarely used it. Kate came and had a look - she discussed our likes and dislikes, what we wanted from the space and our budget. She created an inspiration board with suggestions for paint colours and accessories, incorporating our existing furniture, as we had requested and a much loved picture into her design.

Throughout the process we felt that Kate really listened to us and didn't try to impose her tastes on us, whilst also encouraging us to move out of our comfort zone and be a bit bolder.

We would never have made the paint decisions she suggested but she was absolutely right in her choices. She saw our room through fresh eyes and brought her experience and passion for interior design into our home.

​We adore our new living room. It feels so much bigger and sophisticated.  We now spend as much time in there as we can.

We'd probably gone through a hundred plans and ideas for our living room and dining room before we discovered Kate Parslow Interiors. During a consultation visit and chat over coffee Kate fully understood how we used both rooms, our likes and dislikes when it came to colour, pattern and fabrics and appreciated the time and budget we had available. 

Kate's ideas were presented to us on a digital concept board with detailed instructions on colours and paint, which we could simply hand over to our decorator. As well as tips and  ideas on lighting and furniture - a godsend for our busy lives. ​

 Kate brought a motivating freshness and focus to our decorating plans. We recently had a large open plan extension built and ​needed ideas to zone the different spaces whilst making sure the room worked as a whole.
